Foundation to put on annual fundraiser
The Silicon Valley Education Foundation will hold its annual "Pioneers with Purpose" fundraising dinner Sept. 15 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.
The event will aid foundation programs, including summer and after-school classes, to raise student performance in math and science.
This year, the foundation will honor venture capitalist and philanthropist Faysal Sohail for his contributions to business and education. Sohail is a cofounder of the foundation. For information or to purchase tickets, call 408-790-9590 or go to www.svefoundation.org.
Our 7th annual Pioneers & Purpose will take place on September 15th, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. This year, Faysal Sohail is being honored as our Pioneer Business Leader or his outstanding contributions in business and education.

The Silicon Valley Education Foundation's "STEM Benchmark Awards" are given annually at our Pioneers & Purpose gala for education in recognition of pioneering people, programs or practices that set a new "benchmark" in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math education.
