Five things you should know about the
Education Action Group (EAG)


  1. EAG is not really a group. It's two guys. Two very partisan guys who obviously dislike public school teachers — but they really like Vice President Dick Cheney!
    Check their "Thug Watch" site for more information.

  2. EAG's real agenda is to weaken and destroy public education and public schools.

  3. EAG is just a repackaged front for several existing groups that have led “parochiaid” campaigns — roundly rejected by Michigan voters — to divert tax dollars from our public schools to private and religious schools.

  4. EAG staff member Kyle Olson claims to be nonpartisan, but he's a Republican Party activist and the EAG is a front group for the Michigan Republican Party. EAG was incorporated by Eric Doster, chief legal council for the state Rebublican Party. It's OK to be a Republican, but it's a fraud for the EAG to claim it is nonpartisan.

  5. Kyle chastises those who publicly support elected officials while refusing to publicly disclose who is funding his activities. Public disclosure is always a good thing. Kyle should come clean if he wants any credibility.

On its Web site, the Education Action Group claims “teachers are to be commended.” But in stories and columns published in newspapers across Michigan, EAG staff member and Republican Party activist Kyle Olson attacks public school teachers (See the "Thug Watch" site for more information). He encourages the cheapest health care (regardless of coverage quality) for
