Anthony Cody has written a nice piece about the Blueprint. I've always thought Judy Chu's completely sane Strenghening Our Schools SIG proposal could just be added onto Duncan's "punish the bottom 5%" turnaround option list as the fifth option, along with strong language that the choice should be community-based. That way, the hawkish fire-and-disperse crowd could still have their four arbitrary, proven-not-to-work options and the people who believe in democratic education could have one option.
