Tom Torlakson takes his oath today as the state’s 27th Superintendent of Public Instruction in a low-key ceremony at the high school in Concord where he last taught. His first order of business: Listen to the good, if somewhat conflicting, advice of seven educators and experts whom I asked to share their thoughts. And of course, listen to me as well (I’m last). I encourage readers to chime in, too.
