Report Finds Many Education Donations Not Helping Under-Served Children
BEND, OR -- According to a recent study, big charitable foundations that give money to improve education do not always succeeded in doing so. The report from the National Committee for Responsible Philanthropy showed of the more than 670 foundations studied, 11% spent at least half of their education dollars on students in under-serve populations. The study added that even fewer of those organizations focused on long-term solutions to problems in education.
