I’m a great admirer of the work of Andrew Rotherham and the Education Sector, and their latest report,Understanding Teachers Contracts, is impressive. You’ll particularly want to click on the “Interactive Explainer” button, which lines up provisions from the teachers’ contract of the San Diego Unified School District against that of the Green Dot charter schools in Los Angeles. It’s illustrative of the differing approaches to collective bargaining the two organizations take.
