SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento City Unified School District is getting $250,000, Rep. Doris Matsui, D-Sacramento, announced Thursday.The funding was awarded to the district as part of its Summer of Service program.
The goal of the program is to engage low-income students in projects that address local environmental issues.
Up to 500 students will take part in the program.
