Damn good reporting from Florida on the operations of the local Gulen node there. The model is the exact same model that they use here in Chicago and across the Gulen range in the US.

 

Here's the whole story. The article doesn't even talk about the charter schools; Florida has a bunch of Gulen charters. I'm not sure which ones are part to the Orange County Gulen operation (The Atlantic Institute).

They exist as a taxpayer-funded economic engine for the Gulen Movement.

In Chicago, the Niagara Foundation used to function much like the Atlantic Institute in Florida. The awards would be shoveled out at the Niagara Foundation Peace and Dialogue awards, and they pretty much hit every Illinois luminary before Dan Mihalopoulos started writing about the sketchiness of the whole situation.
