We are not some kind of stereotypical grandparents complaining about not hearing from the kids. We are the people who paid into the retirement system with 9.4% of our gross income for decades. We also paid our union dues in addition. We need to keep informed about current and future income. It pays for food, medication, rent/mortgages, and other necessities.
