Does this happen to you?
Some weekends you have nothing. No movies are playing that you want to see. No friends have invited you to dinner. Nothing on TV.
Just nothing going on.
And then there are the weekends that are packed. Everyone you know is having people over. And you have tickets to the Bulls and the Nets. And there is someone at the Old Town School that is really great.
That’s tonight.
My niece Jennifer, a wonderful teacher and rocker, is playing with her band, The Jackass Magnets, at the Lizard Lounge on Irving Park tonight at 8PM.
My pal Matt Farmer, CPS parent and school activist, and his buddy Steve Doyle, are rockin’ it at Celtic Crossingon Clark Street from 6 to 9PM. You may remember them when they played my retirement bash at the Red Line
