Item 3: Presentation and discussion regarding the charge of the Instructional Quality Commission (IQC) and how the ACSE can weigh in to decision-making on adoption of curriculum instruction and framework relative to students with disabilities.
Bill Honig, Chair - Instructional Quality Commission (IQC). The IQC, formerly called the Curriculum Development and Supplemental Materials Commission, is an advisory body to the California State Board of Education (SBE) on matters related to curriculum, instructional materials, and content standards in accordance with Education Code sections 33530-33540.

Jill Larson, Education Programs Consultant, Special Education Division, will follow-up with a discussion on the topic of transition and a Community of Practice as it relates to the State Performance Plan - Indicator 13.
