I love Google Alerts. Without them, I would have never stumbled on this little irony.
Here we have a new state employee, whose salary is paid by private donations*, whose job it is to administer the authorization of charter schools that have been declined by locally democratically elected school boards. You can rest assured that the people donating the salary have an interest in charter schools.
And here we have an ad for a private employee, whose salary will eventually be paid by the taxpayers, whose job it will be to grow the privatization of public school management. You can rest assured that the people paying the salary of this individual will have very little voice in the governance of the schools he or she manages to wrangle out of the public system.
