U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in a panel discussion at Data Quality Campaign’s National Data Summit at 2:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Washington, D.C. The panel, which is also available via webcast, will discuss the critical role of statewide longitudinal data systems in building the evidence about what works in raising student achievement. Duncan will also emphasize the challenge of creating a culture of using data effectively to improve education.

Launched in 2005, the Data Quality Campaign is a national collaborative involving some 50 organizations that support states in developing and using high-quality education data to improve student achievement.
