U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will hold a national press call with reporters at 1:45 p.m. ET today to unveil a proposal to reform and improve America's teacher preparation programs, aimed at better preparing educators for classroom success.
Joining Secretary Duncan on the call will be U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, a supporter of teacher preparation reform, along with National Education Association President Dennis Van Roekel, Teach For America Founder and CEO Wendy Kopp, and University of Michigan School of Education Dean Deborah Loewenberg Ball.
