My kind of guy. Somebody who realizes that the only legacy that any human being can really have is to leave a world better than he or she found it, rather than trying to assuage their guilt for a life of avarice by building a museum, hospital wing, or pyramid in Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, or Brentwood with their ill-gotten gains.
It's about 5000 years since Old Kingdom Egyptian and human beings seem to be rather slow learners within that time frame, but Fresno County School Superintendent Larry Powell gives me hope and the strength to fight against billionaires bent on mutually assured destruction that comes from developing capital and not our capacity for intelligent living through universal excellent public education.
