National study rates two Oregon teacher prep programs, calls one weak, one poor
The National Council on Teacher Quality says teacher preparation programs should ensure that student teachers spend at least 10 weeks in a local school and are placed with teachers who get great results with students and know how to mentor fellow adults. Neither Eastern Oregon University nor Linfield College stack up well, it finds.
