Will Teach for Food
A teacher’s sign at a recent Capitol rally makes the point with humor. The situation, though, is not a light one. More than $18 billion in cuts have decimated school programs and hurt students. Lawmakers need to pass the temporary tax extension now and a budget that protects schools. Without the tax extension, schools are likely to suffer another $4.1 billion in cuts.
