Public Education Has Failed Chuck Norris (And Donald Trump, too!)
This letter to the editor from Donald Trump to the New York Times is really incredible. I’m not sure what lessons to draw from it. Trump’s English teachers obviously failed him, but then again the guy’s a millionaire. He’s got his own TV shows. Maybe you don’t need a good education to spout off a bunch of nonsense about politics.
It reminds me of another celebrity-turned-political-activist on the far-right fringe: Chuck Norris.
Now, Chuck recently penned a piece on the public education system which he describes as a vast system of ‘progressive indoctrination camps’.
Scary stuff, I know. But I think we need to dig deeper, get to the heart of Chuck’s simmering resentment toward public education. Let’s explore this a little.
