Parrin, Texas superintendent John Kuhn has become something of a celebrity among educators, because he is one of the few district leaders who has the guts to speak the truth– as seen from the school level– to the powers that be. He is rare in that he defends his teachers and students, instead of joining the “reform” chorus who condemn and neglect them.
