D.C. named most literate U.S. city
Washington, D.C., is the country’s most literate city, according to a new study that focuses on a range of key indicators. The annual study by researchers at Central Connecticut State University looked at U.S. cities with at least 250,000 residents and focused on newspaper circulation, number of bookstores, library resources, periodical publishing resources, educational attainment and Internet resources.
