Accused Schools Official Sought Job With District Contractor
Months before she was accused of funneling San Francisco Unified School District funds to herself and her colleagues, a former associate superintendant sought a consulting job with a corporation for which she personally approved nearly $2.7 million in contracts, according to district officials and records. Before retiring in June, Trish Bascom, who headed the Student Support Services Department, informed the district that she planned to work for Education, Training and Research Associates, Inc. Records show that Bascom approved ETR contracts to administer a range of student health programs.
