Jim Grimes, one of the IEA leaders who sit on the NEA Board of Directors, emailed yesterday to justify the IEA’s pro-Race to the Top position.
I don’t know Jim. So there’s nothing personal about our disagreement. And I assume he pretty much represents the views of the IEA leadership even though they sit outside of the mainstream of the NEA. This was demonstrated when our caucus voted opposition to a resolution expressing no confidence in Race to the Top at the NEA RA last July. The RA itself voted in favor of the resolution.
