Betty Aikens, a Tigard family and consumer sciences teacher, retired last week from Twality Middle School, where she spent the last 15 years instructing students on how to make pecan pie, gumbo and pizza. She also taught students how to sew, use math to measure cooking ingredients and make healthy life choices in her Teen Living class. Full story »
