Report: Middletown school funds under review
MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—Middletown police have stationed an officer at the city's Board of Education offices as local officials seek to examine the school district's financial records.
WTNH-TV reports that Mayor Sebastian Giuliano ordered police surveillance of the offices to guard against tampering with the records, while officials look into whether school funds were misappropriated. Details of the investigation haven't been released.
An officer was stationed outside the Board of Education's offices Sunday night.
