As promised, the summer mailing of the IEA arrived in my mailbox today.

“You are the secret weapon,” the cover said.

On page 5 there is a picture of incoming IEA President Cinda Klickna. The caption reads, “IEA President-Elect Cinda Klickna visits with members attending IEA Lobby Day in May.”

The secret is who those members in the picture are. The secret is that they are members from my Park Ridge Education Association local. And although we were attending Lobby Day, we weren’t lobbying for the IEA
