These two bills would delay “the implementation of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards adopted by rule of the State Board of Education” until 2017-2018, and prohibited “the use of a student’s performance on the [FCAT] as a requirement for graduation, promotion, retention, or assignment of grades during the transition period.”
