The Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents reinforced its support Thursday for Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor, after a draft statement was leaked, that indicated some association members are seriously dissatisfied with the state's education reform effort.
The draft statement, which was leaked to blogger Jonathan Pelto, contained a wide range of complaints about Pryor and education reform in Connecticut. The document said that under Pryor, the state education department is "largely in disarray" and that the state's reform agenda will "collapse" if corrective action isn't taken.
The board of directors for the superintendents association met Thursday, considered the draft and issued a statement saying that it does not endorse the draft statement and is "disappointed" that a working document was distributed publicly.
