I’m going to the IEA Representative Assembly tomorrow.

Tomorrow I drive about 15 minutes to the IEA Representative Assembly. It is taking place at the Conrad Hilton Hotel on South Michigan Avenue.
In solidarity with Hyatt Hotel workers who are in a multi-year labor dispute, we don’t meet at the Hyatt Regency anymore.
A thousand delegates will gather in the main ballroom to do the business of the state Association.
We will debate and pass a budget, a legislative agenda, a series of New Business Items and organizational changes.
This will be my last RA as an active teacher.
I will be wearing orange just to make sure the spotter’s see me at the microphone. There has been a history of
