What marketing genius thought of calling the biggest shopping day of the year, “Black Friday”?
We just got back from taking our grandchildren down to State Street to see the Marshall Field holiday windows. Of course, there is no Marshall Field anymore. It was bought by Macy’s. But the old brass plaques under the big clocks still say Marshall Field’s.
The windows are crappy.
We went up to the fifth floor and waited in line for half an hour so the grand kids could tell Santa what they wanted. That was good fun.
