Culture of Fear in Atlanta
Taking a little tour of the rightwing websites this morning, I find that the Atlanta cheating scandal has become, predictably, yet another cudgel to bash teachers with. Over at TNR, the guy from Education Sector comes up with this little nugget of moronic blathering.

But cheating also means that public schools finally care enough about student performance that some ethically challenged educators have chosen to cheatIsn't he special? Isn't he clever? He's a policy guy-- no experience whatsoever in the day-to-day experience of working in an urban district under NCLB-- or any district as far as I can tell --so he's got the chops to be considered an expert over at Ed Sector. I'm surprised he's not at Obama's roundtable.
