Vegas schools go door-to-door looking for students

LAS VEGAS—Las Vegas-area school administrators are enlisting volunteers for a push to find and encourage students to return to the classroom in a district where half never make it to graduation.
Sign-ups are being accepted through Friday at the Clark County School District Partnership Office for the so-called "Reclaim Your Future" effort that starts Sept. 10.
Schools chief Dwight Jones and a deputy superintendent say teams that include district employees will go door-to-door to identify students who haven't returned to class since schools reopened Monday.
Deputy Superintendent Pedro Martinez has developed high school proficiency
