Gov. Rick Scott generally stuck to a familiar script while taking questions from callers and emailers during an appearance on C-Span Friday morning, mostly sidestepping the specifics of their questions to answer in broad generalizations that he’s talked about for months, reports the News Service of Florida. He did say, however, that he’s open to ideas on how to best determine how to pay teachers, in response to a question from a special education teacher from Tampa who said she agreed with ending tenure, but thought children are tested too much. “Any ideas that anybody has,” said Scott, who appeared receptive to her contention that some children are over-stressed by taking too many tests. “My life was changed by great teachers.
