Brawl between N.Y. Gov. Cuomo and teachers union shows evaluations are bipartisan issue

It wasn't a surprise when New Jersey's Republican governor drew fire from his state's teachers union for his stand on teacher evaluations.

But to see recent events with his counterpart in the bluest-of-blue states across the Hudson is a sign that tougher teacher evaluations are becoming part of a very bipartisan education agenda.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo angered Empire State teachers union leadersby sending the state Board of Regents back to the drawing board to recast its recommendations for evaluations.

The group Democrats for Education Reform named the Democratic governor and former Clinton
