WOODLAND PARK - School district representatives of Passaic Valley Regional High School, Woodland Park, Totowa, Little Falls and their municipal governing bodies were invited to a meeting recently in Woodland Park borough hall to discuss "regionalization articulation."

Mayors and council members of the three towns received a letter from Keith Kazmark, Woodland Park council president, asking them to attend an in-depth discussion on a proposed consolidation of the school districts.

No representatives from the Little Falls and Totowa school districts attended.

"This discussion is nothing new," said Kazmark. "I support regionalization because it would save taxpayers money when having only one superintendent and one business administrator serving the four districts as opposed to having four for each. With salaries alone it would save an estimated $1.4 million for just superintendent and business administrators alone.
