The Falcon’s Eye Theatre at Folsom Lake College calls for actors from the community to audition for its spring production of William Finn and Rebecca Sheinkin’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, directed by David Harris with dance choreography by Debi Davis-Worth and musical direction by Philip Angove.
This hilarious hit musical tale of overachievers’ angst chronicles the experiences of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show’s creative team has created a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.
Auditions will be held Monday, February 8 at 7pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Callbacks will be held February 9 and 10 and possibly other dates, at 7pm by invitation only following the February 8 general auditions.
