The lecture is an art form. It requires a skilled individual along with the right circumstances. Just like a great artist, a professor cannot create a truly great and effective lecture if the conditions are not exact.
A major element of this is the ideas; without the content the piece cannot begin to take shape. While writing a great novel, an authour must first develop his characters. These characters require refinement. The authour must take the time to tailor each individual in order to construct an artful piece of literature. The ideas of a lecture also need fine-tuning. The lecturer must give her ideas sophistication, maturity, and elegance.
From this foundation the ideas can then be tied together. The composer must now combine his music together
