Every year millions of children are routinely tortured in the name of educational measurement. They suffer through cruel, painful and unnecessary field, diagnostic and predictive testing. It has been estimated that at any given minute during the school day, more than 1,100 American children are being tested in some capacity.
They suffer in pain, while a host of adult voices repeatedly urge them onward - demanding they complete the next paragraph or fill in the next bubble.
