Stand in Solidarity with CTU: Action for the Week of 9/2/2012
The Chicago Teachers Union stands up against the powers of fear, intimidation, coercion and oppression against the rights of children, teachers, parents and their communities. We support their courageous actions as they confront the education de/formers. CTU’s actions are a model for national action. CTU says “We have had enough!” And we agree with them. We hope more schools, teachers and communities will follow their lead.United Opt Out National stands in solidarity with CTU as they draw on core values and principles, to fight for educational justice, and as they engage in aggressive unionism to protect worker’s rights. CTU’s struggle is our struggle and CTU’s victories are all of our victories. We stand as one.
