A BIG HUG AND A THANK YOU
A big hug and thank you to everyone who has been a reader and to everyone who has submitted a comment this year. You’ve helped me to continue with my quest to see that teachers get a fair shake and have a voice to fight some of the media’s criticism directed at teachers. We need to keep working and continue to speak out against the ridiculous notion that teachers are to blame for the failings of some children who really are the victims of incompetent parents and a society that has failed them in many ways.
I hope all teachers, their families, friends and supporters will make a New Years resolution to speak up and help fend off the attacks on the teaching profession. Write to newspapers, call and write you congressmen, organize rallies, and gather at your state capitols. Fight for greater input on school related matters like curriculum, testing,
