UC Davis is launching one of its most sweeping experiments to date as it musters the environmental expertise, innovation and enthusiasm of an entire campus community to achieve a sustainable second century in the univerisity’s history. By dissolving boundaries between disciplines, UC Davis is transforming into a model of sustainability using research developed on campus and elsewhere. The efforts go far beyond recycling paper, bottles and cans as the campus seeks to become “zero-waste” by 2020.
