As for Edelman’s statement, if it is what you say (I haven’t gone back and listened to it), it is a lie. For what purpose, I have no idea what goes on in his mind and have no real desire to delve into it. I have yet to find a shred of evidence that anything Edelman said at Aspen regarding how he achieved SB7 was inaccurate. I suppose, if you were a traumatized person, you could look at the tape and see someone trying to make himself sound important. But if you look at it in the cold light of day, you see someone explaining how he not only succeeded in getting a devastating bill passed, but also how he got the victims to cheer for it as well.
As I see it, IEA will be under a cloud until the current executive director leaves, and the people in governance talk honestly about the problems caused by a law they supported when a gun was to their heads.
