The press release from Paul Vallas, the “education reformer” who serves as Bridgeport’s $229,000 part-time superintendent of schools, invited the media and public to attend a major announcement at Bridgeport City Hall.
“I have goose bumps, I’m so excited about this” Vallas told the assembled.
The initiative? — An Early College Program for Bridgeport high school students.
And we aren’t talking about just any early college program. This one, according to Sandra Kase, Vallas’ chief administrative officer, “is really going to put Bridgeport on the map.”
