The deal worked out in Springfield doesn’t seem any more appealing in the morning.
I should have known. Soglin and Swanson said they had drawn a line in the sand on the right to strike. It would mean that they would come up with something that was as close to doing away with the right to strike without actually doing away with the right to strike as they could. And they did.
This gives smoke and mirrors a bad name.
We haven’t seen the details of the give-aways on seniority and tenure rights yet.
