The $23 billion federal school funding bill is running into big trouble, even after a massive call-in campaign organized by the NEA yesterday.
The $23 billion was originally attached to a Senate appropriations bill to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
How do I feel about linking my pay to war funding. No need to ask.
But the Senate wouldn’t even do that. They dumped the schools and kept the wars.
