"Fewer black students are attending the city's most elite public high schools than when Mayor Bloomberg took over the school system about seven years ago, a Daily News analysis has found.
The percentage of black students dropped at all but one of the city's eight schools that require specialized exams for entry between the 2002-03 school year and this year, according to city data.
And the number of black students at the eight prestigious schools fell overall, dropping to 1,042 this year from 1,160 in 2002-03.
The lack of progress didn't come as a surprise to Beatrice Lors, who graduated from the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School in 2005, which has seen the percentage of black students drop from 18% to 12%."
