Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Operators are cordially invited to celebrate the National CACFP Week, March 14–20, 2021!
As we work together to help young children develop healthy eating habits, we encourage you to promote this year’s CACFP Week with your staff, students, parents, and community. It’s easy to get started and here are a few fun suggestions:
- Start a garden and help children to grow their own vegetables
- Create a special menu for the week that highlights locally grown foods
- Add fun snacks during the week that the children can make themselves, such as yogurt parfaits, fruit salad, and vegetable sticks
- Offer taste testing opportunities to encourage children to try new or unusual foods and dishes
We look forward to celebrating National CACFP Week with you! For more ideas, resources, and information about the Social Media Challenge, go to the National CACFP Sponsors Association News, Events, and Conferences web page.
For more information about the CACFP, please visit the California Department of Education CACFP web page.
