Cupcakes: A metaphor for the white man’s struggle for fairness in education?

via CNN – What do you do when you need to raise funds for your cause? There’s selling candy bars, hosting a car wash, and of course the ever popular bake sale. Who wouldn’t want to buy a delicious cupcake?

Berkley students may not. Campus Republicans at the University of California Berkeley are hosting a bake sale and how much you pay for your baked goods will depend on the color of your skin and your gender.

What would your price be?

If you’re a white man you will pay $2.00. Asian men will pay $1.50, Latino men will pay $1.00, black men will pay $0.75 and Native American men will pay $0.25. Women will get a whopping discount of $0.25 off those prices.
