California lags in college degrees for Hispanics
Raw numbers are high, percentages are low

Eighteen California State University campuses and eight University of California schools made it onto the Top 100 list of colleges for the number of degrees awarded to Hispanic students. The annual rankings are compiled by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine based on 2009 data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The University of Southern California, Loyola Marymount, and the University of La Verne were the only private schools in the state to make the rankings.
