Grier: Tech-savvy kid could be hacker -- or not
HISD Superintendent Terry Grier said today that he wouldn't rule out a student as the hacker who gained access to district employees' bank records and students' grades.
Grier emphasized that he doesn't know who was responsible or whether multiple people were involved. A criminal investigation, with FBI involvement, continues, he said.
"I can't speculate that this wasn't a kid that hacked in," Grier said this morning during one of his regular discussions with reporters. "But I can't sit here and tell you it was. ... We have very bright students in our school district, and we have students who are very tech-savvy."
