Marchers drop roses in Hudson for Tyler Clementi

A clutch of marchers stopped halfway across the George Washington Bridge this morning and showered roses on the river below for Tyler Clementi, who took his life there after his gay encounter was broadcast on the Web.
The march drew about 75 people, including gay men from Manhattan and suburban mothers alike, most of whom had never met the Rutgers freshman from Ridgewood. The organizers did not explicitly mention Clementi’s sexuality, instead calling for an end to bullying for any reason.
